Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. The music she grew up with was classical Boleros from the past along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of drama. She began singing and learning the piano with her mom, and commenced more serious singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. When she moved from Mexico to the United States around 2000, she performed for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm in music, art and performing keep her engaged in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana is also a previous member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her love and enthusiasm for the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
